As many of you saw on my Facebook Page post a couple of weeks back, I've been working on a remix for a contest for Madonna's single from the 90's, “Ray of Light.” So I took a break from working on my next album, “Electric Kingdom” (or so I thought), and decided to whip up this quick banger! I seriously doubt I'll win. I just wanted to participate, since that whole album was pretty good and I wanted to get involved.
Since I can't “officially” publish my remix because, you know, the song belongs to Madonna. I can't put it up on my usual YouTube channels. But I can secretly (Shhh!!) post it here. So if you look at the bottom of your screen (or bottom right on some screens), you should see a little player that says, “Masterjoda75 - Ray Of Light Remix” and there you go. Hit play and enjoy! But please please PLEASE… Do not play this on your bare iphone or tablet speakers. Put some headphones on or listen through some good speakers. This is a high fidelity track and needs some hi fidelity listenin' to get the full effect. And when you're done with that, read on to see what's going on with Electric Kingdom!
“Electric Kingdom! Feel the beat!” That's what you'll be greeted with when my album finally gets released. And we are in FULL swing. Even while the Madonna Remix was going on, BK (my producer/mixer Byron Kane) was juggling between mixing that and the album's title track, “Electric Kingdom.” On top of that he is working on a remix he is creating for local artist's Pivot Clowj. The underground SoCal Electronic Music scene is beginning to wake up a little more.
Two more tracks have been completed on my end and are ready for mixing. Revive, another dance track featuring AI vocals, and Assimilation, another dark brooding and creepy ambient track to give some variety to my album's electronic leanings. There is still work to be done, but I think I've finally hit the peak here with just 2 more songs that I want to write before I can say I have everything I want on this album. Here is a sneak peek at the track list for “Electric Kingdom” as it stands (and not in final order of playback)

As you can see, there is quite the variety in there, and a lot of the tracks are out for you to check out. But there should also be enough in there to give some listening surprises when the album is finally released.
