The Robots Are Coming!!
Electric Kingdom's first single is out!
That's right, today is the day as we start our journey to “Electric Kingdom" my latest upcoming album. Circa2025 gives a very factory type vibe for me. So I wanted to set the theme to be a Robot Factory with robots eventually taking over. Of course it's all about the music, so the above elements in the video are very broad and general, as I want the focus to be on the music. Check it out here (please listen on headphones or good speakers if you can. It was mixed well!!!)… Then read on to find out all about it!
The opening blue city, blue clouds and “electricity” elements were assembled by me with a mixture of Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects. However, many AI elements were used to create the other scenes in the video. Mostly AI pulling stock footage, but there is a small segment in there at 01:31 that was completely AI generated. Like anything else true AI costs money. And I'm just not ready to commit a monthly fee for this AI stuff. Especially since my main business isn't creating this video content. I just use it as a means to push my music out.
Am I selling out the creative community using AI? I don't think so. I'm using it as a small portion of my creative process. If it were up to me (and my budget), I would use real talent from real people for 100% of this project, like I have been doing with my collaborations. And yes, Byron Kane is back on board mixing and producing this album (including this single).
But there's more! I've signed on a new artist to help me with my marketing campaign and eventually my album artwork design. It's my own daughter Isabelle Grace Ramos. Known in the art community as either “Izz” or her Instagram handle “ghostnut_jr” she's been working with me even before this project. As she did an award winning painting of my artist logo that I use frequently…
Now she's back on board helping me with my next project. If any of you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you have already seen her work in my latest marketing push for the album and single. It's also in this music video. I wanted to use vintage style robots in my marketing, but didn't want to risk using stuff found on the Internet. So she's designed me fresh robots from scratch to my specifications (I just said, make them look like vintage toy robots… I'd say she nailed it!). And yes, she's getting paid! So far she has exceeded my expectations!
Along with my project, she has a lot of art projects going on, including her active Instagram art page. She will also be entering in a fantastic piece of hers at this year's Santa Fe Springs Art Fest which is going on this Saturday, April 26, 2025. This is a really fun family event, and a great way to support our local artistic community. Bring the family for a good time. We have to support our local artists!
