Sitting back here and listening to the tracks I have so far, I see Pandemic Blue is within reach. Busy schedules and living life seem to step in and block the way, but it will get there. At least before the year is up. I need to sit back and ask myself, "Is my goal for this material the same?" I believe it is. I never intended this album to be something that you sit and give your 100% focus to. I wanted my album to set a mood. Something to be played in the background and isn't distracting. Something to relax your mind while you're resting, or studying, or working. Something to do while we are dealing with the chaos of the world. To pull you away for a second and calm your brain so it can focus on whatever important things you're doing.
This project has also been a template to learn how to deal with my music in the future. My initial thought was, I'll release a few singles and then release the rest with the album so that there is new material on there for people to listen to. I don't think that is necessarily the best idea. It would be a great idea, if this stuff were more widely listened to or more popular. But it's just me. And for all I know, maybe 10 people are reading this and even going to listen to this album when it's done. So might as well just throw it all out there.
So with that in mind, I'm dropping 2 tracks tonight, "A Cello In The Street" and "A Black And White Sky." Please listen and enjoy. I always love feedback. So any is appreciated. If you're new, or this is your first time reading my Blogs, dip into my past posts to take a closer look at the history of "A Cello In The Street" and the artwork for the Single.
